Well, it’s been a slightly less hectic week in the world of MMA, particularly the UFC, though there’s still plenty for us to sink our teeth into.
With ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey allegedly itching to get back in the octagon, Chael Sonnen having some very harsh words for Tyson Fury, Paddy Pimblett committing to taking his training more seriously, and Conor McGregor seemingly mocking USADA, we’ve still got plenty to cover.

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey Making a Comeback to UFC?
Recent rumblings in the pro wrestling world have hinted at the possibility of ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey intending on making a return to the octagon and fighting in the UFC once more.
Rousey’s second run in the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is not considered as successful as her first. She’s often featured on mid-card matches, and the fans are far less receptive to her now, compared to when she first made her debut in the squared circle.
After appearing in a DraftKings ad for the UFC ahead of UFC 290, speculation began surrounding her intentions to return to MMA. This comes after rumours of her being unhappy in the WWE, and with her contract due to end, it is believed that she won’t renegotiate.

Chael Sonnen Brands Tyson Fury a ‘Scumbag’
After news broke that Tyson Fury would fight former UFC brute Francis Ngannou at the end of October, October 28 to be precise, in Saudi Arabia, boxing and MMA fans alike have certainly had plenty to say on the matter.
Chael Sonnen is no exception, and he didn’t mince his words when describing the polarizing Fury. In an interview with The Schmo, he called the fight the ‘most ridiculous sporting competition of our lifetime’.
He didn’t stop there however, laying into Fury for taking the fight in the first place. He branded Fury a ‘Scumbag’ stating that he used to like him. His issue is that Fury is a bully for taking the fight with Francis, who is past his prime, inexperienced, and injured.

‘You’re a bully and you’re a scumbag’.
Yikes! Harsh words indeed.
No more ‘Fatty’ Pimblett

@Sport Bible
Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett is certainly a character in the UFC, and is quickly proving to be quite the fan favourite.
Renowned for his sense of humour and “realness” Paddy is also well known for gaining weight between fights. The Scouser however, now intends to put his binge-eating days behind him and control his weight between fights.
Aiming to break into the top 15 at 155 pounds, Paddy, who would easily weigh more than 200 pounds off-season, is now more committed and focussed. This comes after numerous concerns, not only for him making weight for fights, but also for his health.
After gaining weight in America following foot surgery, he now sits at 185-pounds and feels that is his optimal weight between fights. He even stated ‘hopefully I’ll never go above 90 kilos (198 lbs) again’.
Conor McGregor mocks USADA

@Sports Keeda
Of course, we have to finish off with a Conor article, it just wouldn’t feel right otherwise.
After seemingly ducking USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency), not to mention the fact that he packed on heaps of muscle following his injury, and the rumours of him using recreational drugs, Conor took to Twitter to poke fun at his haters, and seemingly USADA as well.
In a Twitter audio post, Conor could be heard singing ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’ by The Verve.
The lyrics go as follows: ‘The drugs don’t work, they just make you worse but I know I’ll see your face again’.
Needless to say, this obtained plenty of responses from his fans and his haters alike.
