Alexander Volkanovski outclasses Diego Lopes

Volkanovski defends his title against Lopes. Diego Lopes was a feared opponent who was ranked #2 in the division. The fight took place in Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

Alexander Volkanovski defeated Diego Lopes by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 50-45)

All judges scored the match in favor of Volkanovski.This was yet again another fantastic fight IQ. His continuous barrage of punches proved too much for Diego Lopes.

Benoit Saint Denis wins against Dan Hooker

In the world of mixed martial arts, there’s a buzz of excitement around the Frenchman, Benoit Saint Denis. Benoit continues with his 100% UFC finish rate and continues to climb the ranks.

Dan Hooker began the fight well. He stood toe to toe with Saint Denis exchanged punches and kicks. However, bets from Fan Duel showed that Dan Hooker was the clear underdog and his ground game was to blame.

Hooker’s weakness was apparent and well known by all included Saint Denis. Saint Denis continuously went for takedowns. Hooker originally did a great job at stuffing the takedowns, stopping Saint Denis from advancing and using the cage to stop the takedown.

Once the fight went the ground, Hooker began to be mauled. Saint Denis far outclassed Hooker with a barrage of down punches. Herb Dean graciously stopped the fight via TKO in the 2nd round. Dean known for letting fights go on too long, did the same in this fight.
