Sean Strickland no longer allowed at UFC Freedom 250. 

Sean Strickland declared that UFC Freedom 250 after declaring the event as celebrating “The United States of Israel”. He has long criticized Donald Trump and his involvement in foreign politics especially in Israel. 

He has stated previously that he didn’t want to fight on a stage for the elite unless the general populus could somehow attend the fight. Surprisingly, these criticisms were well received by the MMA community. Many agreed that the “average Joe” should be able to watch the fights live instead of a performance for the “elite.” 

Although never explicitly stated, the UFC then opened up the door for the public to have free access to the fight. You could request a ticket, entering a random lottery system and potentially get free tickets. Personally, of the 5 people I know that entered for free tickets, 4 were selected. 

Bryce Mitchell, another high level UFC fighter agreed with Sean Strickland. He stated that someone should not be punished for freedom of speech. He went on to say that Sean Strickland was critizing…another country and got banned from a US base event. 

Regardless of Sean Strickland’s criticism, it does seem the UFC has extended the event to the common American via free tickets.
